When A Mosaic Is Formed …

A bookWhen fragmented and broken (yet conspicuously beautiful) people came together almost one week ago at the Cup, the Vibe was turned into a finely sculpted mosaic. Familiar and old faces were interwoven as one, which proved that no matter your situational circumstance, we all encounter similar tribulations, under an identical sky, breathing in the exact same air!

Vibe newcomers Ricky, Tom, John Lance, Rob, Monette, and Lawrence all took over the mic that night as well, each getting in their own pieces. Ricky understands the cruel ways of the world and wondered how life would be in another‘s eyes while Tom read a haiku questioning heaven and hell. John came all the way from Long Island to read several chapters of his novel, “A Murder Up In Harlem” even as Rob spoke of his favorite book of all time, the autobiography of Deion Sanders. Monette read a poem she wrote to herself about how body image can be a dangerous notion and Lawrence spit some fiery, off-the-hook lyrics, proclaiming music shaping his life in more ways than one!

Vibe veterans Jack, Jen, and Adrianna all embraced the stage that night, as we were truly blessed by not only their bold courageousness, but their magnificent poetic abilities. Jen is always on point with her flow and imperative content, while Jack has been able to overcome much adversity in his life and is grateful to be alive on this very day. Adrianna credits deep meditation helping her struggles with anxiety and depression as shared in her poem “Quiet Addiction.”

Vibe community coaches eventually came up and did their thing, with Anthony rhyming off the top of his head, Kami singing a beautiful song about her Savior, Jeremiah speaking about finding a way back to the “Garden Owner,” and Carolina sharing a poem about love. It was then announced that all the life coaches specialize in financial management, household chores, spiritual advisement, artisan mentoring (visual, musical, etc.), and anything else you can think of, so if you’re interested, please contact sal@comevibewithus.com. We really can’t stress the fact that it’s truly all about you and we are just here to serve!!!
